The probation service in Gothenburg currently has offices on Ullevigatan in Gothenburg and another office at Rosenlund. This advertisement is for those who want to work at the probation service full-time over the summer, at one of our probation offices, in a role focused on security and monitoring, which also includes client contact.
The role of a probation officer at the probation service differs somewhat between the offices. At both offices, you can expect to contribute to a safer and more secure society in your role as a probation officer. In this role, you are the face of the probation service and the first person visitors will meet at the office. The tasks include ensuring secure entry to the probation office, staffing the reception, and other security-related tasks. Technical support and office service are also included to some extent in the assignment. You will work in a team with probation officers and have close collaboration with probation inspectors and administrators.
Probation officers at our Ullevi office also spend part of their working hours on standby for executions with electronic monitoring, follow-up of executions with electronic monitoring through home visits and workplace visits, as well as community service checks. These tasks are not included in the role of probation officer at Rosenlund. However, tasks such as service, operations, and reporting faults are added at the Rosenlund office.
Working hours at the Ullevi probation office are scheduled Monday-Sunday, including day shifts, evening shifts, and weekend work. Working hours at the Rosenlund probation office are daytime Monday-Friday.
In this recruitment process, we will invite selected candidates to an information meeting before the interview, where we will provide more information about the workplace, the position, and practical details regarding employment. This meeting will take place on January 27.
